  • Picture of the Kaligo Stand at Bett Show

Mathieu Jeandron, Director of the Digital Development, at the French Ministry of Education, Amélie Le Roux,In charge of School Development, Benoît Jeannin, CEO of Learn&Go.

Kaligo shows the "French Way" at the 2018 Bett in London.

Each January, the Education world has the opportunity to meet and share ideas for the future. The 2018 edition was no exception !

    The French Tech Platform

For four full days, between January 23rd and 26th, all actors involved in EdTech showed their new services or products to assist, help teachers and students engage in more exciting and efficient digital learning processes. 850 firms coming from 130 countries were present at the show this year, including a FrenchTech platform composed of twenty small firms. Kaligo was one of them.

    A Personalized Learning Process

Next to the big boys such as Google, Microsoft or Lenovo, the Rennes-based company was able to show its unique solution : the first pen-and-tablet-based-handwriting training program for children from 3 to 7. Teachers, school directors, parents’ associations representatives stopped by the Kaligo stand where Amelie and Perrine demonstrated how the program works. The audience was particularly sensitive to the fact that the teacher can easily personalize the learning pathways according to each child’s progress. Kaligo provides the teacher an individualized feedback of all the accomplished or unfinished exercises. And the child can also easily correct himself and be trained up until his handwriting movement and the scripture is right. « It is the first time that we have a stand on the Bett show, explains Benoît Jeannin, Kaligo’s CEO. And it is really worth it. The public is responding positively to our app. We are able to show our products directly to the French decision makers but also to a broader overseas market. »

Kaligo is a 100% approved program by the French Ministry of Education and has been in test for over three years in nearly 50 primary schools in Brittany, Burgundy and the East of France. «I appreciate the fact that the kid uses a stylus instead of his finger to write, explains a British teacher. Not only Kaligo focuses on the movement, just like the traditional way, it also provides an enriching solution for the teacher since I can easily adjust my exercises for each individual child. »

    A High-Standard Educational Approach

The French delegation was happy to see a constant crowd around the FrenchTech platform, and especially Kaligo. Mathieu Jeandron, Director of the Digital Development in Education, at the French Ministry of Education, is confident : « The French suppliers respond to specific needs, those that require a technical know-how combined with a high standard educational approach. An approach which makes sense ! » Kaligo is typically in this philosophy. If you missed Kaligo this year, please make sure you come to the Bett 2019 and we’ll see you there !
